leaving on a jet plane (right in the middle of exams!)
I bought my ticket yesterday!! I leave on April 12 for Dubai, I'll stay there for a week to visit my brother Kelsey and an old soccer/track coach from Malaysia (Ms. Jones). Kelsey's going to fly me to Muscat, Oman, then we'll drive to Ibra so I can check out his school and apartment etc. I'm pretty excited. On April 21 I leave Dubai for Johannesburg. I hope to leave Johannesburg for Cape Town as soon as I get there. I meet up with Anna in Cape Town where we'll do a bunch of city touring and Sport Science Institute volunteering etc. On May 15 we're leaving for a 20 day tour from Cape Town up the west coast, through Namibia and Botswana to Victoria Falls. After that tour we plan on taking a backpacker's bus back to Cape Town along the Garden Route. I hope to stop in Sodwana bay for some diving, but we'll have to see if we can fit that in timewise, and if Anna gets her dive cert. Once back in Cape Town, Anna and I are volunteering at the Comrades ultra race. We'll be doing stuff for the Sport Science Institute's study, should be fun and interesting. I fly out of Cape Town on June 20 for London. I don't plan on staying in London for too long as it is extremely expensive, but hope to make some trips to other destinations in Europe. Right now I'm hoping for prague, somewhere in Southern France, Spain or Portugal....or all of the above (probably not though as I'm leaving London July 31 for home sweet home). That's the plan for now. If anyone wants to meet me anywhere along the way....
