Road Trip!
So after we said goodbye to the majority of the Overland group, we got back on Stevie to make the 21 hour trip from Victoria Falls to Johannesburg. Fifteen minutes into the trip a guinea fowl flew up infront of the truck and SMASHED the windshield...glass even fell on the guides! Look closely and you can see the view-obstructing damage!
At 8:30 in the morning we got our car and headed out on our trip along the east and south coasts of South Africa!
First stop...a farm outside of Harrismith...
This is where we got to stay!
It reminded me of home...a little
In the morning we went for a 3 hour horse ride down then up the mountain.
My Little Pony

Cass led us along his beautiful farm
The Drakensberg Mountain Range (Eastern border of Lesotho)
Northern Berg
We stayed at a backpacker with an amazing view of the whole Norhtern Berg...here was the view from our window!
We went on a day hike to Tegula Falls
Here we are at the amphitheatre
There wasn't a whole lotta watta in the falls
But we got to climb down these cool chain ladders...

Central Berg
After staying two nights in the Northern, we woke up early to drive to the Central Berg. We went on a few hikes there...
Crystal Pools
We re-discovered, and used for the first time, the neccesary feature of a camera timer
saw lots of these
We also got to see the world reknowned Drakensberg boys choir!
The next morning we got up early to hike to Blind Man's Corner
...and saw Champagne Castle
...and closer
There was frost...luckily no snow
...and we used the timer again
...and again
After Durban...sorry no pictures...we hit the WILD Coast!
Our Backpacker (The Kraal), on Mpande beach
At the beach
Besides deciding to swim everyday, at each new beach we also thought it'd be fun to do this
These kids also liked drawing in the sand...they were much more creative though
What an awesome view to wake up to in the morning
...a not so awesome view...well I guess they are kind of cute
We met two Belgian girls, Kim and Katryn, at the Kraal and took them with us to our next stop
Hole in the Wall

We were no more creative
We left for Cintsa (our surf destination), and this is what we got to see!

After a cool time at Buccaneers backpacker...surfing...we headed to Jeffrey's bay (surfer's paradise)...on the way there we stopped for some breakfast in East London at one of South Africa's awesomest and most abundant chain restaurants...WIMPY
Jeffrey's bay (J'bay)
After Jeffrey's bay we headed to Stormsriver for the bungy...previous post (The Last of the Road Trip)
We got back to Cape Town, and sadly had to return our little car (affectionately known as Cindy)
It was a great 2 weeks!
