More pictures from Basel
We leave tomorrow morning early for Paris to meet up with Emily.
Here are some of the last pictures from our week in Basel:
Anna and I rode into France on Monday to check out some kayaking
and came across these cool shophouses
On our way back into Basel we rode past this Church (among oh so many others)
Today we spent the majority of the day walking around Basel and recording the sights and sounds of this cool city...minus the sounds (and smells), here they are:
These trams run all over the city, you have to be careful not to get your bike tire stuck in the tracks
There are amazing bakeries like this all over...one of the many comforts of Europe thus far!
The market outside of city hall

(this amazing red building is city hall!)
Overlooking the Reine
Everyone rides bikes!
One of the many interesting statues of Basel (in the plot where plague victims were buried...called something in German that vaguely translates to 'death square'...or something like that...josh you can post a comment and correct me here!)
...if ever bored, turn to timer on camera for amusement!
That's it for now...for the next 3 weeks it's France and Spain!

1 Comments:
i think it means "dance of the dead" and is called toletentanz in german.
