Anna and I making fun of one last statue in Basel
On the way to Paris I finally ate the NOW! bar Anna gave me for my birthday
Anna wanted a picture of her too
Paris
We got to Paris, picked up Emily and checked into hotel Rohan...the bathroom was small
Here are the sights around Paris:
Sacre Coeur
Arc de Tiomphe

Us under the Eiffel Tower
Me holding the Eiffel Tower
Outside the Louvre
The Notre Dame
We had olives and wine outside Notre Dame, and we all managed to get olive oil on us
Moulin Rouge
Sacre Coeur by night
Us at Versailles

The train ride back to Paris
Eating lunch at les jardins du Luxembourg I managed to be a bird lady
We posed
Anna and I had some serios street meat for dinner that night
Then we went into the Louvre
We saw the Mona Lisa
and had fun taking pictures wit statues
hercules
We then saw the Eiffel Tower by night
It was relly bright
The next day we left for the coast
Nice
Us on the beach enjoying the sun
In the warm, crystal clear and incredibly salty Mediterranean water
The beautiful Mediterranean view
Random silver letters on the sidewalk=perfect photo op
Monaco
At the jardins japonais
Overlooking the bay
Unlike Chamonix, speedos are prohibited
A race car in Monaco
Upon our return to Nice from Monaco we discovered that you can buy a life size pirate for only 999 Euros....what a deal
Montpellier
After the huge ordeal of being robbed on the train on the way to Montpellier (spending the whole next day reporting it all to the police, being surrounded by french military, and coming to terms with our losses), we had some French Chinese food for dinner
and enjoyed the beautiful town of Montpellier
The next day we slept in, and prepared for Tour de France viewing...live
We went to the Monoprix and got the necessary box o wine and baguette

Then we headed to the tour!
Look we were really there
We got there 5 hours before the riders came in but it was fun
They gave away lots of laughing cow cheese

and lots of other sponsor swag

We bought matching shirts
Anna and I took a rest from the sun under these giant hands
It was like a giant parade and festival for adults...there were cool floats

We took more pictures...look how happy we are!

And after watching the jumbotron for a while, they turned it off and we knew the racers were coming soon. They came so fast you could have blinked and missed them
We were front row, so we got to see them pretty close up
It was a great day
Emily the true Tour fan
Tomorrow we are off to Barcelona...
